"Working accessibly opens up opportunities for everyone and enhances collective creativity."
What I do

I bring lived experience with invisible disability to my work in access, and draw on professional experience and research through my PhD. I see working accessibly open up opportunities for everyone, across intersections of identity, and enhancing our collective creativity.

I have training in mental health first aid and integrated audio description, and have particular experience supporting energy-limiting conditions, neurodivergence and visual impairment.
I support accessible practice for individuals, arts companies and organisations, and direct Elevate, the slow conference in accessible and disabled-led arts practice in Kent and Medway.

Individuals

A lot of us have trouble figuring out what access support looks like for us. Don’t worry! We can start from what you do know, and work it out together.

I could work with you to create an access rider, or work one-to-one to support your unique needs as an artist and create a work structure that fits your practice.

I support ACE funding applications through their access provision at no cost to you.

Arts companies
I can help create an accessible working structure to support your team's needs. This could be creating a new approach, or responding to access clashes in creative ways.
This might mean using slow practices with a ‘long and thin’ pattern to plan strategic growth around dynamic or fluctuating disabilities.
I can support with embedding the ‘aesthetics of access’ in your production - including access provision like BSL interpretation, captions or working from home, from the beginning, so they are part of your artistry, not a clunky add-on.

Organisations
If you’re planning an event and considering accessibility for your team, audience or participants, I can support you through consultancy.

I have experience in audio description, including working live to support visually impaired participants enjoy events to the full.
I also help teams gain access literacy through delivering workshops and seminars, from broad introductions to particular aspects of accessible practice.
